A semi-retired couple wanted to transform a tired, dated home into one that reflects their love of cooking, entertaining, and tending to their magical garden - all with a classic French twist.
The centre of the home was completely remodeled to create a more functional, light-filled space including a kitchen and scullery, a wine room, and a luxurious master ensuite with a walk-in robe. At its heart is a generous island bench, now oriented to face the garden through large new windows, turning what was once a dark internal zone into a vibrant, gathering space. The kitchen was designed not just for cooking, but for life: a place to bake bread, share stories, and listen to music. The connection between the kitchen, dining, and garden was central to the design and now flows effortlessly. A rich palette of terrazzo, limestone, and marble sits alongside classic solid timber flooring, bringing warmth, texture, and quiet sophistication. Crafted to age beautifully and be lived in and loved for decades to come. |
