Design Phase

Initial Enquiry and Design Consultation

​After our initial conversation and exchange of information we prepare a detailed proposal and fee estimate.

Every project begins with a conversation. We take the time to understand how you live, what you love, and what you want to achieve. Bringing together the functional requirements and aesthetic aspirations.

Stage 1: Briefing, Concept & Schematic

The first steps are to carry out an initial site analysis which can include a site visit, review of plans, and exploration of ideas.

From there, we create a design concept - a visual direction that captures the look, feel, and atmosphere of your project through materials, finishes, and colour palettes.

Stage 2: Design Development

Your feedback helps refine the concept into a cohesive design. We prepare detailed drawings, develop material and fixture selections, and can organise visits to view key items in person.

By the end of this stage, you’ll have a clear picture of how everything will come together.

Furniture, Art & Object Curation

During the design phase we can also develop a cohesive decorative scheme that complements the spatial design. Curating pieces that enhance the tone, texture, and personality of your home. Whether you are furnishing an entire residence or refining a few key spaces, our aim is to create a collection that feels layered, unique, and considered.

Stage 3: Documentation Package

Here the schematic documentation is translated into comprehensive documentation for pricing and construction.

Every detail from joinery to finishes is captured and clearly communicated.

Stage 4: Tender and Estimation 

Drawings are submitted to selected builders or relevant trades to receive more accurate costs and timeframes for the project. We collaborate to gather quotes and timelines.

​Together, we review pricing and final selections to ensure everything aligns with your expectations.

Implementation Phase

Stage 5 and 6: Construction Design Management

Stage 7: Handover & Follow Up
Construction documentation is finalised and issued. We provide guidance and support to the builder, joiner, and trades providing any further information and answering requests for information.  

This includes review joinery shop drawings and finish samples as needed to make sure the project is realised exactly as intended.
Once construction is complete and the site is ready we will lead a final walkthrough and defects reporting with the Builder. Any defects or discrepancies will be managed by us.

When you have settled into your new space, we check back in to make sure everything is working as it should and to celebrate the finished result with you.
