A late twentieth-century apartment reimagined for modern living. Perfectly located in one of Canberra’s oldest and most character-filled suburbs, this 1980s residence has been thoughtfully refurbished to balance its architectural heritage with contemporary ease.

With modest proportions and a simple layout a new timber floor was introduced throughout visually expanding the compact plan and adding warmth underfoot. Original timber trims and glass highlights were restored, while a simplified palette of soft neutrals, warm greys and earthy tones brings calm and continuity. Timber lined ceilings in the living and kitchen add warmth and tactility; complemented by grid-set tiles in the bathroom bringing both rhythm and nostalgia.

Designed for an executive rental, furnishings introduce subtle personality - beautiful tones of sand, mushroom, deep navy and muted ocean hues layered against natural textures  - creating a space that feels timeless, grounded and quietly confident.
