A youthful, energetic family had the desire to do away with the beige and inject personality into their home. With growing children, the goal was to create spaces that offered both retreat and connection, where quiet moments and shared ones could coexist.
As passionate art collectors, the clients wanted their furniture and accessories updated to complement some of their existing pieces and reflect their love of colour and character. A bold chunky loop carpet grounds the living areas, bringing depth and cohesion to an eclectic mix of vintage and contemporary pieces. A much-loved sofa was reupholstered in luscious green velvet and a favourite vintage chair found new life in a graphic stripe. An underused space at the back of the lounge is now transformed with a bespoke daybed, the perfect spot for puzzles, napping, or soaking up the afternoon sun. With its modernist bones - oversized timber windows and rendered brick walls - the home lent itself naturally to bold hues and tactile materials. The result is layered, vibrant, and full of personality; a home that reflects the people who live in it. |
