The finishing touches of this workspace are warm and charming, featuring a thoughtfully designed kitchen and custom built joinery providing daily amenities and much needed storage.
The kitchen serves as a hub for connection, cooking, and shared meals. The materials used tell a unique story: solid timber, milled from trees gathered on site, brings a sense of nature and history; while surplus custom terrazzo, is repurposed to create a stunning feature and exemplifies sustainable design by using existing materials. Galvanized steel selected for its ability to develop a distinctive patina over time, adding character and depth. Joinery was designed to accommodate all the practical necessities of a workspace, while also featuring shelving to house books and display treasured items. It's rich chocolate tone working harmoniously with the textural cork walls and concrete floors. A collaboration with Molonglo and vintage collector Ken Neale. |
